SUNBOND S
Characteristics
Sun bond S is a medium-heavy coated rutile type all position mild steel electrode for major structural work where finish is of importance. The electrode produces a smooth, clean weld deposit with very little spatter loss and the slag is self releasing. Sun bond S is Suitable for radiographic quality, shiny and non-porous welds with high crack resistant. Ideal for groove welds with good penetration.
Typical Applications
Sun Bond S is applied in welding of pressure pipelines which cannot be welded from inside, storage tanks, automobile bodies, L.P.G. cylinders, ship building, pressure vessels, railway coach panels, sheet metal work, bridges, and construction equipment.
Weld Metal Chemistry : (Typical)
C:0.10 Mn:0.60 Si:0.30 S:0.03 P:0.03
Welding Current Range :
Diameter : 2 2.5 3.15 4 5 6.3
Ampere : 40-60 60-100 100-140 140-200 190-250 250-330
